In 1995 CAFMEYER AMEUBLEMENT transforms into CAFMEYER GALLERY with a strong focus on contemporary art from renowned and leading artists. Today, as the 4th generation steps into the family business, Cafmeyer Gallery represents several established, mid-career and emerging artists.

1:
The Postman
Artist: Daniel Pessel
Material: Mixed Media
Edition: 1/1
Dimensions: 52 x 65 x 33 cm

The sculptures of the French artist Daniel Pessel come from a mechanical universe where old sewing machines are combined with noble materials such as steel, leather or wood.
Many transformed objects become intertwined and lead to imposing machines controlled by charismatic characters.
Are they dreamers, idealists, enthusiasts or adventurers? Every observer is free to create the world that suits him.

2:
Helicoide VI
Artist: Jesús Curiá
Material: bronze - wood - iron
Edition: 8 + 4 AP
Dimensions: 150 x 232 x 38 cm

Jesús Curiá is a Spanish artist who always perfectly succeeds in combining different materials in a unique way in his artworks.

3:
Artist: Matt Devine
Material: steel with powder coating
Edition: 1/1
Dimensions: 91 x 178 x 15 cm

Contrasts between nature and industry, light and shadow, chaos and order are frequent themes in the oeuvre of the American artist Matt Devine.
Organic shapes of carefully welded identical metal parts form a harmonious whole where the metal appears as light as paper and creates an “organized chaos”.
This perfectly reflects Devine's desire to control chaos in response to an information-saturated society.
Now it is certainly not a bad idea to try to control the current chaos….

4:
Liber
Artist: Coderch & Malavia
Material: bronze
Edition: 8 + 4 AP
Dimensions: 78 x 74 x 47 cm

2 Spanish artists who work together, 4 hands on 1 sculpture, and always with the human body and emotions as the central starting point.
Classically trained but also very contemporary and above all very powerful and full of movement.

5:
Tembéa
Artist: François Vandenberghe
Material: bronze
Edition: 8 + 4 AP
Dimensions: 31 x 85 x 30 cm

Tembéa means walk in Swahili.
The inspiration for this work comes from the first family walk after the corona lockdown.
The interaction between the characters, the movement and the cheerfulness that this work radiates shows how everyone yearns for more freedom again.
